In this text, Snow shows us the wide gap that exists between the sciences and the humanities, which becomes even more relevant in this era of artificial intelligence, because the great discoveries will come from the convergence of different disciplines in order to find solutions to humanity's great challenges: from cultivating what is essentially human to economic abundance and a rising life expectancy. It is an entertaining read from 1959 and it shows us that, after more than 60 years, this regrettable division still exists between the immeasurable thing that is human expression in the arts and the humanities, and the measurable thing that mathematics and the applied sciences are. When individuals manage to integrate these two branches of the human domain, that is when the magic happens. That is the invitation.
